Report a vulnerability

Email security@knobeast.com with a description, the firmware version (menu → System → Info) and steps to reproduce. Please give us time to ship a fix before disclosing. We acknowledge reports within 5 working days and give a first assessment within 15 days. Actively exploited vulnerabilities are reported to ENISA as required by the EU Cyber Resilience Act.

Support period

Each model receives security updates for at least 5 years after its last unit is sold.

How the device is protected

The setup Wi-Fi uses WPA2 with a random password unique to each device. It is only active while setting up.
Updates are signed (Ed25519) and checked before installing: signature, SHA-256 of every file, and no downgrade to older versions.
Downloads use HTTPS with certificate verification. If a new version fails to start, the device rolls back by itself.
Automatic updates are on by default (one check a day) and can be turned off in the System menu.
The device sends no personal data. Your Wi-Fi password stays on the device; Factory reset erases it.
Each release publishes its software bill of materials: /ota/sbom.cdx.json.

Periodo de soporte

Cómo se protege el mando

Red de configuración con WPA2 y contraseña aleatoria única por mando, activa solo mientras se configura.
Actualizaciones firmadas (Ed25519) y comprobadas antes de instalar, sin vuelta a versiones antiguas; descarga por HTTPS verificado y vuelta atrás automática si algo falla.
Actualización automática activada por defecto, desactivable en el menú Sistema.
El mando no envía datos personales. La contraseña de tu wifi se queda en el mando y Restablecer la borra.
